This one-day training course by carbon market professionals will provide a detailed introduction to the California carbon market from an economic, regulatory and financial perspective. Participants will gain a thorough understanding of the mechanics of cap-and-trade and of the regulations governing the California program, as well as the fundamental price drivers and market dynamics.
The course includes a mix of lectures and hands-on case studies to foster learning and interactions between participants. It also feature two expert guest speakers who will discuss their experience setting up carbon contracts and developing state-of-the-art compliance and trading strategies.

Emilie Mazzacurati is the Managing Director of Four Twenty Seven, a climate research and advisory firm. Ms. Mazzacurati has published extensively on California climate policy and carbon markets, federal climate legislation, and the interaction of carbon with other commodity markets. Previously, she was Head of Global Carbon Analysis at Thomson Reuters Point Carbon, where she directed Point Carbon’s research department for carbon in North American and global markets.
